Survey of 100 students who have been funded
by Credila for higher studies

“The system of education is different with more emphasis on self learning and practical experiments rather than mugging. This helps to preserve the learning experience for a long time ensuring good performance in exams.”- says KALPAK.K who is pursuing his M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Oklahoma State University.

Advise to students who aspire to go to abroad for higher studies?
The view is unanimous that any student who wishes to go abroad should follow his or her dream. The only constraint is funding as nearly 70% of universities want proof of funds before giving admission and banks provide loans only on assurance of admission. However, these students, who have, with Credila’s help gone abroad, strongly advise students to pursue their higher studies with Credila’s help.
Other than academics, what else did you learn from living abroad?
The professional culture! People handle their responsibilities very well and they respect and trust each other. They are cordial and friendly with Indians.

How are the studies in the USA different than the studies in India?
The courses are flexible. Everything taught is based on practical experience. Hence there is less focus on mugging for the exams.
Is it worth spending so much money to get a degree from abroad as compared to similar degree in India with lower costs?
It is only the IITs and IIMs which can be compared to universities abroad and it is not possible for all aspiring students to secure admission in these colleges. Hence studying abroad is the next best option. One obtains an international degree combined with more exposure which becomes very important when looking for a job.
Why did you choose the UK for higher education?
Indian education system is based on UK education system. They easily accept students who complete their three years after HSC like B.com/ BA which USA doesn’t. The courses offered here are of shorter duration like one year term which is equivalent to the two year programs in other countries.
Advice to parents of aspiring students
If finance is the only problem in making a decision, leave that to institutions like CREDILA and move on with the plan. Earnings from job after graduation for only 6 months may be sufficient to pay of the loans.

Finance is the most important factor for studying abroad.
