B.A. covers subjects like English, History, Economics, Psychology, Sociology while B.Sc. covers subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. If you look at the job market for MBA none of these subjects are really pertinent. MBA’s are marketing, branding and sales people in an organization and their task is to strategically grow an organization’s image in the eyes of prospective customers and set the organization apart from competition. In what way will a subject like history help in this? In the same way, how can physics help to solve this? Obviously not! However, just as a B.A. in Business Administration is the most suited to pursue a further post graduation in Business Administration, Maths is an important subject in the MBA program which a science student can tackle more easily than an arts student.
Thus, it does not matter if the student has a degree in arts or science. What is important is the interest quotient to work as a Marketing or Sales person in an organization. If this interest is there, then the actual degree becomes irrelevant.
